Access control

Should access control be combined with other systems?

Access Control

In dwellings, access control is most often done by a security system. This is a subsystem separate from all other automation systems. And it may not be connected to any other systems at all.

But if you link such a security system to a control system, you can get additional features.

So, if there is a connection with the lighting control, and with the video surveillance system, you can turn on the lighting in this zone by triggering one of the sensors of the security system, and send a photo to the owner’s e-mail from a surveillance camera. Or open a window with a live picture from a CCTV camera on the owner's smartphone. This is probably a false positive and nothing to worry about.

In addition, it is often convenient to get all the information about your housing in one application of a common management system.

The flip side of convenience can be to reduce the security of the access control system. If you can disarm the house not only from the wall panel at the entrance, but also from the application, the likelihood of unauthorized impact on the security system increases.

Output

  • Combining management and access control systems provides additional options.

  • If you would like to avoid lowering the degree of burglary, you can limit the combination of these systems to only the ability to monitor the status of the access control system, without the ability to disarm the object.

  • We will be happy to build for you the most reliable and functional access control system that will increase the security of your home.
